Nissan is all about giving back in big ways, and nothing proves it more than their recent donation of $2.5-million to the non-profit group, Habitat for Humanity. The Japanese automaker is supporting the international relief group with more than just money, however, as they're planning to give them greater exposure than ever before by rallying their customers, stakeholders, and dealerships like us here at Acme Nissan to take part.

The goal, of course, is to get everyone actively participating in the incredible cause, whether it be by donating time or money. In other words, Nissan can't do it alone, and needs all the help they can get to ensure that as many people have a safe home to live in as possible.

"Our [six-year] relationship with Habitat will lead to new opportunities for Nissan owners and our dealer partners to get involved in future Habitat builds, " says Bill Krueger, Vice Chairman, Nissan Americas. "Both Nissan and Habitat are committed to sustainability, so it's fitting that our dollars will also support sustainable construction practices in Habitat affiliates nationwide..."¹

As for the $2.5-million that Nissan donated? It will go towards materials and other operations expenses, as well as funding the annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Haiti, which starts next month.
