If you happen to be a big fan of the Nissan LEAF, then we're going to take a shot in the dark and say that vehicles like the stretch SUV are a bit of an eyesore to you... Right? If you says yes, trust us, you're not alone. While stretch limousines are the premier way to get around town in style, there is one thing that these behemoths don't embody, and that is efficiency.

We here at Acme Nissan are here to tell you that this could soon change. As it turns out, a limo maker based in Springfield, Missouri is currently planning to bring a new wave of efficient limos to the market, and they'll be based be based on the ever-popular Nissan LEAF.

Does the Nissan LEAF scream up class style? We certainly think so. And apparently the people at Imperial Coach Builders do too. They have opted to stretch the LEAF out to be 225 inches long! Eco-conscience VIPs around the world are sure to fall head over heels for the new stretch LEAF when it becomes an option to ride in.

"This will be the first conversion of this revolutionary vehicle and the first pure electric limousine," ¹ says Gary Spaniak, President, Electric Car Company.

With almost 50 inches of extra seating room added, the stretch Nissan LEAF will be able to accommodate almost twice as many people as the conventional version. As for how people will be seated... well, Imperial Coach Builders has yet to release any sort of interior design plans, so we're in the dark on this one! But, we invite you to stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.

Another point that we'd like some more info on is what kind of driving range they're expecting to achieve with the stretch LEAF. We'd imagine that the added weight from stretching the LEAF might decrease its driving range by just a tad. But, we never know what kind of green steps they might take to ensure that the LEAF remains as efficient as before.

We don't know about you, but everyone here at 2050 US Highway 130 Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852 is quite excited to see what Imperial Coach Builders can pull off. We can't help, however, but imagine what other new Nissan models might look like if given the stretch treatment. For instance, just try to picture a stretch Nissan Rogue or Nissan Cube. Or, what about the Nissan Pathfinder? Personally, we think the LEAF really was the best candidate for a number of reasons.
