Nissan Earns a Bronze at the 2011 Edison Awards

The internationally acclaimed Edison Awards are named after the famous innovator, Thomas Alva Edison. A tribute to his continuous pursuit of excellence and inspiration to drive the U.S. to the forefront of innovation, creativity, ingenuity, and global mobility, they're among the most honorable awards an automaker can receive.

As you can image, we're elated to report Nissan walked away from this year's Edison Awards with a Bronze. That's right, within the Personal Transportation segment; Nissan earned a Bronze for their cutting-edge EV, now available for reservation: the LEAF.

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) has just donated $35,000 worth of building materials to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami.  An international non-profit organization, Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to building homes for low income families.

Speaking on Nissan's recent donation, Habitat for Humanity CEO, Mario Artecona says, "Nissan is helping put low income families in decent, affordable homes. More than that, Nissan is contributing toward the revitalization of an entire community."1
