Nissan Earns a Bronze at the 2011 Edison Awards

The internationally acclaimed Edison Awards are named after the famous innovator, Thomas Alva Edison. A tribute to his continuous pursuit of excellence and inspiration to drive the U.S. to the forefront of innovation, creativity, ingenuity, and global mobility, they're among the most honorable awards an automaker can receive.

As you can image, we're elated to report Nissan walked away from this year's Edison Awards with a Bronze. That's right, within the Personal Transportation segment; Nissan earned a Bronze for their cutting-edge EV, now available for reservation: the LEAF.

Nissan To Build US-based SUV

At a facility in Japan, the Nissan Rogue has been being produced for years. For 2013, things are going to be different. Beginning that year, Nissan will produce its best-selling vehicle in the United States. This plan is part of an effort to localize upwards of 85% of its manufacturing in the regions where it sells vehicles by 2015.
